BCG Releases New Radar Stimulator
Buffalo Computer Graphics (BCG) Inc. is pleased to announce the release of the PCS-300 Radar Stimulator. The PCS-300 represents a technology upgrade from our previous radar stimulator the PCS-200.
The PCS-300 offers both updated hardware and software which is reflected by a higher level of hardware integration and more emphasis on software generated radar imagery. The heart of the PCS-300 is a new Radar Signal Generator Express Board (RSG-Express). This new hardware module migrates to the PCI-Express bus which provides for greater packing flexibility, while the updated design resulted in a smaller board footprint. The reduced parts count of the PCS-300 increases system reliability while reducing the cost of manufacturing. The RSG-Express delivers a full range of antenna signals and a realistic radar presentation for a wide variety of radar systems.
On the software side more of the radar video features are implemented in the simulation program allowing for better modeling and future updates. The PCS-300 offers better precipitation and sea clutter presentations than the PCS-200, while also enhancing the 3D radar imagery.
Though the PCS-300 is a replacement for the model PCS-200 Radar Simulator, BCG will continue to support our PCS-200 for the foreseeable future, but new radar simulator sales will be quoted as the updated PCS-300 model. PCS-200 sales will phase out in Q1 2016.
